I so enjoy the quotes you find, Andrew

“Lead, follow or get out of the way.” I don’t know who first said it, but it’s good advice.

Dear Andrew,
I’ve wanted to write you on your other blog many times… but I’ve not been able to since I do not have any of the profiles (Google account, etc…) required in order to leave a comment. I’m happy to be able to try and contact you through this blog… and hope that you are able to still check it once in awhile.
I first became acquainted with your blog about a year-and-a-half ago, when searching for on-line support for my Mom whose brother was dying. You will never know how much your blog post about how to keep saying good-bye to the dying helped her (and me). Your thought was to continue to say hello to what was left. What an amazing concept. THANK YOU.
Since then I’ve continued to read your blog and find inspiration in many of your thoughts and words. I wish there was a way for your blogposts to be bound and published in to a book. I think many people would find them helpful.
My husband is a hospice chaplain and I have worked in the grief community. I would like to encourage you (or Barb) to consider reaching out to your local hospice. Ask for a NON-PROFIT HOSPICE. Non-profit hospices never turn down a patient for any reason, including inability to pay. They provide in-home care… medical equipment… medications… etc…
Andrew, I’ve seen and believe that people die in the same way they live. This goes along with the adage “how you do one thing is how you do all things”. You are a WARRIOR. You’ve lived as a WARRIOR. And I commend and bless you as you die as a WARRIOR. Thank you for allowing me (and your blogging community) to bear witness to you on your battlefield.
With warmth and gratitude,
Carla

Carla, thank you so much for this comment; I am so glad you took the time! And that I was able to help you and your Mum…I am so honoured.
I wall pass onto Barb your suggestion of a NP hospice; I am no longer able to do that leg-and-phone-work.
I truly appreciate your kind words. You’ve made my day.
