“Passive inactivity, because you have not been given specific instructions to do this or to do that, is a serious deficiency.” – George C. Marshall
That’s her job. I’ll wait until she does it. She hasn’t asked, so I’m not gonna do it.
How many husbands apply this philosophy to everything from a sink full of dirty dishes to a dirty diaper? How many wives apply it to a clogged rain gutter or a fallen tree that’s smashed part of the garden fence?
And if the job’s done…it’s done reluctantly, with an air of noisy martyrdom. “Well, she never got around to it so I guess I’ll have to do it.” SIGH.
This is not the way to run a marriage, an army, or a life.
Look for what needs to be done, and do it quietly and without complaint…and watch how much better your marriage will be.
