“Courageous people do not fear forgiving, for the sake of peace.” – Nelson Mandela
Marriage without conflict doesn’t exist. You can’t join your life to that of what had recently been a stranger without friction.
We fight, we forgive. Or at least we’re supposed to.
How often has your ‘forgiveness’ been qualified, and you held your mate’s trespass in memory, ready to trot it out when things got bad.
To forgive and forget is beyond most humans; certainly it’s beyond me.
But to forgive and never mention it again…that’s a choice.
